What Do I Do After Meeting with an Agent?

After making first contact with Kyla and having a preliminary meeting with one of our realtors, you have officially finished the first step of Riverwood Way! From here, it’s time to start making some of the more “fun” decisions when it comes to home-building. House sizes and lot reservations are an exciting step but can be daunting if you don’t know how they fit into the overall process.

Steps 2 and 3: Priority List and Reservations

At this point, you will schedule a model-unit tour in one of our communities to see what a fully developed home has to offer. This is a great time to ask specific questions about different floor plans and size designs (cottage, manor, or estate) as our realtors will be able to guide you to homes that align with your preferences. If you feel that you would like to build with us after your model tour, we will add you to our priority list and contact you when the subdivision is open for reservations.

So what does the reservation process actually look like? Despite the word “process”, this is a very straightforward step within Riverwood Way. Once your subdivision has been opened up for reservations, you will be notified and directed back to our official homepage to peruse the site plan under “Communities” for available locations. Based on your desired house size, you will have a number of lot options to select from for future construction. When you find a property that matches your preferences, all you have to do is fill out a bit of paperwork and put a deposit down to reserve the lot under your name. You’re officially done until it’s time to contract!

Step 4: Coordinating with Your Agent

Though we have many talented Realtors available for you to walk through these steps with, if you have already been talking with an outside agent that’s perfectly fine! We are more than happy to work with you in either scenario. If this is the case, you’ll be working with Matthew Blaylock, our Outside Sales Coordinator. Matthew is here to answer any questions your agent may have throughout the home-building process with Riverwood and to help make the next few months as easy as possible.
